...

"For our own past is covered by the currents of action,
But the torment of others remains an experience,
Unqualified, unworn by subsequent attrition.
People change, and smile: but the agony abides." - T.S. Eliot

It's a Girl!

She has finally arrived...and her name is Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt.

Welcome to the world you gorgeous Gemini...

More Arse

Dear Bloody Starfish,
Do you know that your unreliability affects me?
Do you know that your irresponsibility affects me?
Do you know that your could not care less, don't know don't care attitude affects me?
Do you know that your high self regard nature affects me?
Do you know that your inability to perform affects me?
If you do not, then be aware of this, be alert and be afraid. Be very AFRAID. My eyes are on you from today onwards. I have been as considerate as I can be.
Look. It does not rock my world, it does not affect my life in any way if you're as gay as Elton, drag your feet when you walk or have BO. What you do, what you indulge in outside the office is none of my business but when work is concerned, when work comes to play you can be sure that I give a DAMN because my ass is on the line, my head is on the platter more than you will ever be and I ain't gonna let you drag me down with you.
What's more if I'm affected to a certain extent where my limits are reached, you can bet that there will be repercussions on your side and I will make it one of my objectives in life to make you suffer. So help me God I will.
Therefore, mark my words I am telling you NOT asking you. I am naturally a nice person. Don't push me...P.L.E.A.S.E. :)
Let's not make our lives harder to live by than it already is.
Thank you.

The Arse

I was quite surprised by the leniency of the censorship board when I watched The Da Vinci Code last week. Picture this, a stark naked Paul Bettany, white fleshed ass and all...flagellating himself...on a wide cinema screen...with THX.

Grab it while stocks last! *chuckle*

Cold Showers...Bbbrrrr!

"When my brother in 1918 came home from the army, he said, 'Ed, whenever you take a hot shower, end it with an ice cold one and count to 100.' When your older brother tells you to do something, you do it,"

- Edward Rondthaler, 100 yrs and going strong

I love, absolutely live for hot showers. It's an indulgence. A necessity. Can spend half an hour just standing and running burning hot water over myself. In addition, sleep is good after in an air-con filled room. Even better if there's a bath tub...bubble baths! That's why 5 Stars hotel stays are the bomb! Lucky me, house in Perth had a bath tub and you can bet it was utilised to the max during winter. What's more the water bill was a flat rate of AUS150 a year for unlimited usage. So housemates and I felt like we owned an oasis! Yup, no camping trips for me definitely. I ain't a fan. I'm a girl's girl :). Remember my Outward Bound School experience in Mimaland (what ever happened to this wonderland? ) where I fell sick after a week of cold showers. Yeah, boo hoo to me. Call me a spoilt brat but I was 7 then. It's forgiveable. I reckon a certain cold showers birdy is chuckling at me now :P Oh well, I don't plan to live to a 100 anyway. Don't think it's in my destiny somehow. Said this before but I will consider myself fortunate if I survive to being 70.

And there you have it, wanna live longer? Take cold showers...and if you do take hot ones, take a cold one after like Edward and you'll be playing with your grandchildren in years to come.

Penny for your thoughts people...

P/S Mondays simply S.U.C.K.S! Is there a cure for Monday blues? :(

Going grey...NOT Taylor Hicks's grey.

We'll do it all, everything, on our own
We don't need anything or anyone

If I lay here If I just lay here
Would you lie with me
And just forget the world

I don't quite know how to say how I feel
Those three words are said too much
They're not enough

If I lay here If I just lay here
Would you lie with me
And just forget the world
Forget what we're told
Before we get too old
Show me a garden that's bursting into life

Let's waste time
Chasing cars
Around our heads
I need your grace to remind me
To find my own

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me
And just forget the world
Forget what we're told
Before we get too old
Show me a garden that's bursting into life

All that I am
All that I ever was
Is here in your perfect eyes
They're all I can see
I don't know where
Confused about how as well
I just know that these things
Will never change for us at all

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me
And just forget the world

- Snow Patrol 'Chasing Cars'
I'm hooked. Grey's Anatomy. Season 2. Finale.
A finale where submerged passion and drowned temptation resurfaced...
A finale where things got complicated once again....
A finale that ended with a cliffhanger.
Tick tock. Tick tock. Tick tock.
Until the next season premiers...I shall be waiting.

Fairytales

A dream is a wish your heart makes
When you're fast asleep
In dreams you lose your heartaches
Whatever you wish for, you keep

Have faith in your dreams and someday
Your rainbow will come smiling through
No matter how your heart is grieving
If you keep on believing
The dream that you wish will come true...

Favourite song from my all time favourite Disney fairytale. Beautiful cinder girl meets with charming prince who sweeps her off head over feet and whisks her off into many wonderful tomorrows. Fairytales...aren't they lovely? Picture perfect. Made in Heaven on earth. Where everything always works out for the better. But for all we know, Cinderella could have been leading a terrible post happily ever after life. She could have encountered problems with her in laws, unable to produce an heir and her hubbie prince has an affair with her fat stepsis who ends up getting pregnant instead! No bed of roses for poor Cindy then huh?

I'm not saying that miracles don't happen, they do but shit happens too. Guess this is what maintains the cosmic balance. The balance of good and bad in the universe. For every win, someone must fail. For every miracle, a tragedy entails. Keeps things fair between the angels and devils. Life's not fair. Sometimes we don't get what we want, no matter how much we sulk over it. Guess we just have to count our blessings and keep track of what's good, pacify ourselves with the positives to make the journey of our lives easier to swallow and digest.

Maybe we never really grow up. Maybe there will always be a hidden child inside of us that emerges once in a while for a breather. When we defy our parents, take what does not belong to us, when we keep that extra change, lie to our loved ones, when we betray our friend, throw our tantrums, when we bend the rules, speak before we think, when we hope not matter how hopeless...

Because kids don't know any better and aren't we like one when we do bad, silly, stupid things even when we know we shouldn't?

You know how when...

You know how when...
You reach a stage in your relationship where the both of you are comfortable and start sharing the same bed. Comfortable enough in letting her finding out for herself that you're a one man piece orchestra every night. Comfortable enough for him to look at a sans makeup, less glamorous you in the morning. To rain on the parade of intimacy, more often than not the girl is saying, "You've seen me in places where the sun don't shine so please don't break my heart, make yours mine" but for the guy it's "I've seen you in places where the sun don't shine, don't be a fuss and we'll be fine".
Nevertheless, intimacy can help to strengthen the love and help form a closer bond between two people. A test run before church bells are heard perhaps to see if two can live within the same confines, breathe within the same space and not wanting to do another remake of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre on each other instead.
You know how when...
You spend a few days of dusk till dawn with someone, you start to feel the absence of their presence after? Whether or not you're the hugger or the huggee, the hogger or the hoggee...whether you could not stand the sight of him anymore, or whether you thought she was an invasion of your privacy, you WILL feel something even if it's a tinge, a speck, a sawdust of something.
Truth to the matter is, none of us like being alone. Yes to some quality time and all but for an extended period? I reckon not. Think Tom on the island who grew attached to his Wilson. It was pathetically pityful. Poor guy, any rat would have long gone crazy by then.
Intimacy, it's both desired and feared. Difficult to live with, with pet peeves and expectations but hard to live without when it's good, so good... and missed, when it's gone...with a fullstop.

.Shared your dreams and shared your bed, I know your smell, I know you well..I've been addicted to you.

Neil Said...

Have you ever been in love? Horrible isn't it?
It makes you so vulnerable. It opens your chest and it opens up your heart and it means someone can get inside you and mess you up. You build up all these defenses. You build up a whole armor, for years, so nothing can hurt you, then one stupid person, no different from any other stupid person, wanders into your stupid life... You give them a piece of you. They didn't ask for it. They did something dumb one day, like kiss you or smile at you, and then your life isn't your own anymore. Love takes hostages. It gets inside you. It eats you out and leaves you crying in the darkness, so simple a phrase like 'maybe we should be just friends' or 'how very perceptive' turns into a glass splinter working its way into your heart. It hurts. Not just in the imagination. Not just in the mind. It's a soul-hurt, a body-hurt, a real gets-inside-you-and-rips-you-apart pain. Nothing should be able to do that. Especially not love. I hate love. -Neil Gaiman
Simply horribly beautiful...I like :)

Kids These Days...

Aunty: If someone says you're pretty, what do you say?
3 year old niece: Thaaaaaank yyyyoouu!
Aunty: If someone says you're ugly?
3 year old niece: Daaaaamn yooooou!
Aunty: Who taught you to say that?!
3 year old niece: My grandmama..

Conversation heard between 'Aunty' and her manicurist when I was indulging in my fornightly pampering session. Kid sure has a cool grandmama. *chuckles*

Tori Said...

These precious things
Let them bleed
Let them wash away
Let them break their hold over me
Why do we crucify ourselves?
Everyday I crucify myself.

...and I feel her.

I Found Not One But Two!

Who never checks their office e-mail and keeps them unopened for descending angels from the Heavens above to arrive and bless their inbox first before they do?

Starfish number one and two in my office.

Then when a deadline is drawing near and you remind them verbally on what has to be done on their side, they act blur. Giving you the 'I don't know what the fuck you're talking about' look because it's true, they REALLY don't know what the fuck you're talking about!

You feel like the fool of the moment and start questioning yourself, on whether you did shootout an e-mail although you remember clearly you did. You check your Sent Items. As expected, you DID.

What do they say when you tell them so? They answer a question with a question saying, "You sent me an e-mail???"

Arrghhh!!!! Can vomit blood working with smart people like this.

Facts That Be

Interesting facts found in a magazine for college students.

- Do you know that a starfish has no brains?
So the next time someone calls you a starfish, take note that it's not a pretty picture painted of you.

- Do you know that a rat can last longer without water than a camel and that if left alone for a period of time it will go crazy?
I hate, absolutely despise rats but way to go for them on the liquid. Guess they don't believe in quality time to themselves. Maybe that's why there are so many scurrying around. Yucks!

- Do you know that a shrimp's heart is in its head?
How convenient. Won't have conflicting issues with its heart and head then. Combo decision everytime. Makes life easier, doesn't it?

- While sitting at your desk make clockwise circles with your right foot. (go ahead no one will see you!) While doing this, draw the number "6" in the air with your right hand.

Your foot will change direction.
*chuckles* I'm tickled!
