Two

Correct me if I'm wrong but 99% of you would have asked yourself, "Who is this man?"...
You see, I wanted to liven up my spirits for the festive season. Decided to post a nice CNY image to add some colour to my blog and so I did a search on Yahoo Images for '2006 Chinese New Year'. Results? 2 images and only 2. One, a sketched doggie which irritatingly I can't seem to load the picture of (arrrghhh! I hate my office PC!) and 2, I present to you Mr. Wilhem Schmid.

Mr. Schmid is based at Erfurt University in Eastern Germany, teaches philosophy, and is also a guest lecturer at the University of Tiflis in Georgia. He has published several articles on life´s challenges and Man´s quest for personal happiness.

Sigh, personal happiness...how appropriate...need I be reminded?! Thank you very much.

Someone told me to do whatever I wanted to do with my life. "It's yours...", she said.

My response? Yeah, RIGHT. The day...

She added, "It's simple. You make your bed and you sleep on it".
Sigh, how true. Hit me right in the face. The 2 'C's. We make our choice and we live with the consequences. Choice & Consequences.
Dickinson wrote that hope is a thing with feathers. As the reign of the Chicken ends, here's to a hopeless doggie year ahead. 2 reasons. One, dogs have no feathers and 2, it is a bad year for Monkeys AGAIN!?! as predicted by many. How unfair! @#^&*(*$% Darn it. Bollocks. Crap. Whatever! I know I know, both are not exactly practical reasons but it's my party and I'll cry if I want to. *blek*
Anyway, have a Happy Doggie New Year people. Cherish the holidays. Rejoice in the varieties of celebration we have in our country that gives us the chance to be free from work.
Cheers. Eat, drink and be merry. *woof woof*
P/S As you can see, my attempts finally paid off.

Shiny Happy Me

So many things in my head are screwing around with me and the only time I think is everyday and all night through. It’s driving me crazy, nuts, ballistic...some days I think I am threading on a thin line with insanity. All it takes would be a little tip me over to the other side. Have been keeping my distance from the world. Turning a blind eye towards it. Just don't wanna care anymore. What’s the use?! Why should I when it only leads to pain and heartache? Where all of my intentions are misinterpreted when I try to cater to those that matter.
There’s nothing left to lose…no more heart to bruise…
Every damn thing seems to be irritating the shit out of me. Life and its parts have gone bloody haywire. I have placed people who care about me at a distance. Don’t mean to but I treasure my support system too much to let them be tormented by me for I can be unnerving and difficult. Don’t feel like talking and when I try to start, I just end up speechless. The words just don’t come out and I swallow them back into the depths of me. Better to just shut the fuck up.
There’s a hole in my soul…and I’m losing control…
The only person who truly understands how I feel is myself. Well, God and I to be exact. When someone says, "I know how you feel....", do they REALLY know how you feel? If you can feed into the depths of my heart, see what's consuming it,, absorb every emotion that is triggered, find a way into my mind and discover its thoughts that ravage me…then YES you do know how I feel.
Every man has his secret sorrows which the world knows not…
Excuse me but I'm in a cynical mood. Always wrapped in things I cannot win. I’m sick and tired. I’ve lost my navigation. I’m drifting aimlessly. I used to know what I want. Just didn’t know how to get there. Currently, I don’t know what I want anymore so to hell with how am I going to arrive at the destination. We are given the blue and red pill. We live with our choice. There is bound to be happiness that is to be derived somewhere, somehow.
Sometimes we don’t get what we want. We get what we need...
A good friend said, “I miss the old you last time. Will be great to have her back. The jolly you.” Maybe I will be back. Maybe not. Maybe there won’t be a cure. Only time will tell. For now, I’m bitter, cold and gloomy. A storm is raging inside.
Sigh, sometimes, I miss the old me too.
There is no greater sorrow than to recall in misery a time when you were happy…

If only...

Ideal allocation of days in a week = 4 working days & 3 rest days.
Tuesdays to Fridays - workdays. Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays - offdays.
The science behind it.
You see, Friday nights can be quiet and slow nights e.g. movies, dinner and chilling after, coffee and catching up with friends etc. Saturdays will be designated boogie woogie, all night long party days, of course! Sundays are always half gone when one emerges from lala land and not so fun days because one is always reminded of the next day, the most dreaded and dreadful of all days...arrrggggh...Mondays!!! Which are just EVIL.
Therefore, if Mondays were rest days too we would have more time for not only ourselves but our family and friends AND an extra day to recover from the weekend to prepare ourselves for the next four days of work. *Start of B.S.* This I believe will contribute and play a major role in the increase of productivity standards of employees, lead to rapid innovation and bring about an evolution in the workforce....bla bla bla...yada yada yada...*End of B.S.*
We will be rid of the Monday blues syndrome! Tuesdays will be the new beginning of the week day because general knowledge dictates that it has always been the coolest day of the week. Well, ever since the day I was born to be exact. *chuckle*
...Who's with me on this?! Who thinks this can and will work?! Wouldn't it be swwweeeeeeet?!
Tick.
Tock.
Tick.
Tock.
Sigh. As the clock strikes midnight...it's time to sleep. Sigh. Hello traffic and work. Goodbye weekend. Sigh. What's more I have an event tomorrow. Double whammy. Sigh. I absolutely hate Mondays. Sigh.
Can't wait for the holidays. One more week people! One more week and it'll be the holidays! *victory dance* Am so counting down the days.

Sexiest Offspring Alive

Angie Jolie expecting Brad PRrriiiiiittt's baby!

The union of marvellous genes I'll say. Can't wait to see the outcome. She/He baby is gonna be absolutely gorgeous I reckon. Well, don't only take my word for it. Take Mr Reed's also as below. Wonder what will they name the baby. If a girl, Brangelina Jolie-Pitt? Ha!

Never meant to be Jennifer's. Sad but true.
*******
How beautiful will the Pitt-Jolie baby be?
Good genes and bone structure suggest the child will be attractive.
NEW YORK - If the two most gorgeous people in the world had a child, what would it look like? Angelina Jolie will answer that question this summer, when the bombshell “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” actress is due to give birth to boyfriend Brad Pitt’s baby.
Pitt, Hollywood heartthrob and former flame to actresses Jennifer Aniston and Gwyneth Paltrow, has also filed to be the adoptive father of Jolie’s two children, Maddox and Zahara.
But their new addition will be the glamorous couple’s first biological baby, a presumable shoo-in for “Sexiest Offspring Alive.”
That would follow in the parents’ footsteps. Jolie was named Esquire magazine’s “Sexiest Woman Alive” in 2004, while Pitt was named People magazine’s “Sexiest Man Alive” in 1994 and 2000.
Good genes help
Dr. Lawrence Reed, a New York City-based plastic surgeon, said the child’s good genes will in all likelihood make his services unnecessary.
“You have a very beautiful mother with great bone structure,” said Reed. “You have a very handsome father with excellent bone structure and facial features. The genetic prediction would make this child have a greater chance by far of being what everyone would consider an attractive baby, an attractive person.”
Reed said he predicts Brangelina’s baby will be “much taller” than Pitt, who stands at 6 feet, and the 5 feet, 7 inches Jolie.
The eyes will be incredible,” he said. “I can’t see this ever not working out.”

Aaaahhh...the eyes...the windows to the soul...
The world awaits...in anticipation.
Signing off,

Revamp Needed?

Stability results were moderately low which suggests you are worrying, insecure, emotional, and anxious.
Orderliness results were moderately high which suggests you are, at times, overly organized, reliable, neat, and hard working at the expense of flexibility, efficiency, spontaneity, and fun.
Extraversion results were moderately high which suggests you are, at times, overly talkative, outgoing, sociable and interacting at the expense of developing your own individual interests and internally based identity.

trait snapshot:
open, tough, irritable, worrying, does not like to be alone, craves attention, low self control, emotionally sensitive, interacting, sad, very social, aggressive, prefer organized to unpredictable, dependent, social chameleon, suspicious, values the heart over the mind, likes large parties, outgoing, likes to make fun, likes to fit in, mildly phobic, vain, makes friends easily, enjoys leadership, clingy, rash

Got Tagged by BD. Once again like all personality tests, there is some truth in it and most of the time the results reflect the state you're in at the moment or a particular stage in your life you're trying to overcome. Did the test twice. This is my second result. First trait snapshot was blardy depressing. Filled with nothing but the negatives. Sad but true. Well, I admit by nature I AM a pessimist. Just me to dwell on the darker side of life. Yeah you can say I choose to be like this where most of the time what I feel influences the kind of mode I'm in. Very much a heart person as can be seen above. Didn't manage to save the first result as there was an error and BD is requesting for me to publish this already so here it is babe :) My not too accurate result.

To continue the chain, I'm tagging KG, Cheyanne, Weng & FayFay. Go people!

Bizarre Love

A British woman became the bride of an Israeli bottlenose dolphin last week.

Sharon Tendler, a 41-year-old concert promoter, entered into holy matrimony with Cindy, a 35-year-old dolphin at Eilat, an Israeli resort. The Dec. 29 ceremony was broadcast on Israeli television. The ceremony, which involved a lot of squeaking and tossed mackerels, ended when Tendler jumped into the water to join her new husband.

Tendler, who’s made millions peddling rock concerts in her homeland, told the press she fell in love with the dolphin 15 years ago, on her first trip to the resort.

*****
Is this bizarre of what?! Anything can happen in this world I'd say. ANYTHING. This is just BIZARRE.

I mean, I luuuurve dolphins. But my love is pet based. If I could keep one, I would. Such intelligent, beautiful and lovable creatures of the sea. Once saw a purple silverish one in Australia and it was breathtaking. But to actually fall in love and to marry one?! How is that possible? I, in all my love philosophy and bullshit think it's absurd. She must be crazy in love or just plain nuts. One thing for sure, she'll make a good psychological specimen.
Come to think of it, Mr. and Mrs. Cindy reminds me of King Kong and his beloved Ann Darrow. Similarities? All mammals. Aren't we mammals just beeming with love for one another? Real life mimics reel life.
Two thoughts.
1. Isn't Cindy a female name?...Nevermind.
2. How would the marriage be sealed?...Let's not think about Ah Kong and Miss Darrow now please. The mental picture is indeed disturbing.
The world is getting weirder by the day. This is something to live for. To see how much weirder it can get.

Knots

It came and went. The clock striked 12. It's a new year.

Here's to a Brand New Me...hopefully...

In the process of a life makeover and I have been uninspired to blog. Think I'll have a Happy Meal for lunch today. Need and want anything that will lift my mood. Yup. A Happy Meal. I will savour every bite of my plain cheeseburger, fries (McD's has the best!), Ribena and whatever toy that comes with it to add to my collection. Yes. I have a collection. I've had many Happy Meals. Happy Meals boost me. Happy Meals make me happy. Happy Meals bring a smile to me. Even if it's just temporary. Heck, I'll buy into it. One thought never fails to escape me everytime I look at my Happy Meals collection. Those were the days when life was simple. Gone are the days when we were kids.

Still free as a bird currently, plenty of time at my disposal but from another aspect I feel like I'm trapped in a cage. Somebody free me. Have mercy on me. But then again, I'm the one holding the key. The golden key.

Sigh, the weekend is already planned. Hope it will spell out nothing but good times ahead because good times = happy times.
They make you know what you want, what you could have. For real.
