I've packed my bags, I'm ready to go... :)

By this time tomorrow night, both Feathers and Wings will be in another island.
Finally, tomorrow has come.
There's gonna be... fabulosity.

The Girl with Supernatural Curls.

Lazy as a daisy...
Some people do not have to work for the rest of the year. How nice... I used to be able to do this. Maybe next year I will be able to, once again. With a different status.

It's a public holiday back in the peninsular but not in the island. There should be a ruling to extend all peninsular holidays to those working in the island with the same nationality. Wishful thinking, I know.
Cam-whoring in the comfy wash-bathroom. Here's my outfit for this Happy Friday. I hear the shower running sometimes, when I pass by while walking to the main washroom and during different hours. Yeah, there are those who actually take a shower in the office. I don't know who exactly though. Have not bumped into anyone coming out so far. Oh well, employees are free to use available facilities unless announced otherwise, in my opinion.
Today, out of the seven fish tanks in the regional office where I'm located, five are empty. There is peace.
Studs dress from Miss Selfridge (was part of my Beyonce concert outfit *still growling*)
Leggings from River Island
Jacket from Far East
Gladiator heels from Zara (I could walk China with these)
It's movie night tonight. And we're watching Avatar. Money well spent. Apparently, from reviews. To be immersed in an amazing cinematic experience for 2 hours and 43mins. Expectations have been set. Let's hope I won't leave the cinema, disappointed. I have a feeling I won't be.
It's the weekend before Christmas...! Have a wonderful week no. 50 of 2009, everyone.
I know I will :)

22.12.2009

Open up your heart, what do you feel
Open up your heart, what do you feel is real
The big bang may be a million years away
But I can't think of a better time to say
World, hold on
Instead of messing with our future, open up inside
World, hold on
Wonder you will have to answer to the children of the sky
Look inside, you'll find a deeper love
The kind that only comes from high above
If you ever meet your inner child, don't cry
Tell them everything is gonna be alright
World, hold on
Instead of messing with our future, open up inside
World, hold on
Wonder you will have to answer to the children of the sky...

Bob Sinclair has got me head bopping in the office. Boss called me from behind and was ignored unintentionally. Colleagues signaled me frantically and I turned. Told him I work better with music. He said what he came over to say, excused himself and asked me to continue enjoying. Anyway, this is not the first time he has 'caught' me with my headphones. We have an understanding.

5ive more days before I disappear from the office for se7en whole days. 5ive more days to a blissful escapade. It would be nice if I could fast forward today, tomorrow and Friday... slow things down on Saturday and Sunday and back to fast forward mode again on Monday... then return to slow motion throughout the entire break.

Certain things in life do not work the way we want it to be. And unfortunately, it never will. Maybe this is how balance is achieved in the universe. Sometimes you get what you want, sometimes you don't. You win some, lose some and for every victory, someone will fail.

Holding on to next week... *bopping*

I hope the weekend lasts forever.

There are some days where I feel like quitting and today is one of those days...

I've been feeling like this and telling myself so since Monday. It's Thursday. Every morning when I drag myself out of bed reluctantly, Bi will hear me say "I'm so tired..." when I had slept before the clock striked 12 the night before. I feel like a kid that refuses to go to school when he opens our front door. I look at him with a pout, he pats my head and tells me those magic words with a kiss. I breathe, and I do my series of goodbye waves for the day.

Why does time pass by faster in the evenings than daytime?

There are three phases in a weekday that I look forward to nowadays: the bus ride to work, lunchtime, and after office hours. I feel heavy-hearted and I wake up with a tinge of sadness on Sundays for I dread Mondays.

It's only a job, I tell myself. Yes, it pays the bills, the heels, the bags, the dresses, the holidays etc but it's just a job, right? Rightfully, it should not affect one's being. The thing is, in my previous workplace I still looked forward to work and everyday at that, even with the Management from hell who at times purposely gave my colleagues and I a hard time but it's not the same anymore. I feel a sense of dread. Imagine an old buffalo ploughing the land. It's not about having too much on my plate, having to work late and dealing with difficult colleagues and/or Management. I've been there, done that and I managed. I managed fine. My state of mind was alright. But now I find myself asking to no answer, what's wrong and how did it get to borderline? The situation is actually not that bad from an unbiased perspective.

Well, there's always the option to give up and quit, take a breather... but I can't allow myself to do it. I won't. I don't want to give up this way eventhough I can afford it. It's different if there's already something out there waiting for me where I can tender my resignation, take a short break and move on. Sigh. I shall endeavour, hang on like the monkey that I am until a good opportunity presents itself. Unless I come to a breaking point and seriously need to wash my hands off completely.

I still like this time of the year, nevertheless. Counting down, 11 more days to a blissful escapade. There are three mini happies this week. One - Retail joy in the form of MJ goodies from Paris thanks to maggi-mee buddy AND cheap but fabulous looking and comfy boots from Far East. I can walk China wearing it. Two - I shall not reveal this until it happens and when it's time, for it was brought to my knowledge with good intentions at heart and I shall not spoil the surprise element :). Last but not least, the family and a small village of relatives will be down in the island tomorrow for a 'mini' celebration.

I hope the weekend lasts forever.
I hope the weekend lasts forever.
I hope the weekend lasts forever.

Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow...

I'll say it again. I love this time of the year...

There's something in the air that makes everything seem magical and wonderful. And you feel like anything is possible, even if it's all make believe.

I second you Popystarz. I'm in the mood... the Christmas mood :)

When January arrives, reality will sink in. And it will bite. There I go, raining on my own parade before the festivities have started. Bleh.

But for now, there is much to look forward to before bidding adieu to 2009 and I will try to catch as many mini happies I can. Mini happies in the form of snowflakes that fall from the sky and the Heavens above.

Will the real me please stand up? Please stand up. Please stand up.

Loser. You know who you are... and you're an imposter.

The imposter is someone who pretends to be someone they are not. It is the falsification of identity that creates the imposture, the borrowed identity being that of someone else or that of an imaginary person with a different name or a different profession. — Andree Bauduin

Why resort to this form of hiding? What cowardice behaviour. Is it due to the fear of rejection and/or because of insecurities?

Grow up for crying out loud. I gave you the benefit of the doubt. I thought you were better than this but I guess I was wrong. I let bygones be bygones but you can't seem to let.it.go. and let.things.be.

After all, didn't life progress? What you did was unnecessary. It was stupid. Lame. And immature. The fact that your brain came up with the imposture shows the level of maturity you possess. Or lack of. Was your life fulfilled at that very moment when you did it? You just had to, right? The urge was too strong to resist. It was simply something you HAD to do. Did you get a kick, an adrenaline high? Does life become more meaningful whenever you indulge in childishness? If yes, well then I strongly suggest you get a real life. And one of your own, as IA put it.

I have no ill intentions towards you at the end of the day (I never did in the first place) and this comes from the heart, sincerely. So, let's not change my mind. Moreover, our lives have got nothing to do with one another. Why intrude on a peaceful agreement, right? Therefore, I suggest (or rather, I kindly insist) we leave it this way. And I'll brush this incident off my shoulder. No worries about it. Seriously.

One last bit.
If you didn't do it, well my bad then (and I would be apologetic for making an ass out of myself at your expense of which you will applaud generously, no doubt) but the cards are against you and I trust my instincts. Furthermore, if you didn't do it, you have nothing to be worried about. For the innocent need not be afraid.

Peace...
