Girl Rants

You are an intelligent, beautiful, young woman. You have loving parents and friends who care about your well being. You have a support group of dozens, all willing and ready to adjust their lives to make your's easier. You have the ability to overcome what comes between you and your wants and needs. You have the luxury of having wants and dreams. You will always have someone who will love you, no matter what happens. You live in a good neighbourhood. You get a first rate education. You are supported in your ideas and helped by many to become a complete, well-adjusted, intelligent, productive member of society. You have all the basic necessities of life. You don't have to worry where your next meal will come from. You get to drive, eat good food and play with computers. You get to have fun. You have huge amounts of civil liberties. You have the freedom of speech. You have the freedom of choice. You have the chance to go to sleep each night knowing no one will take you from your bed and put you in a cold stone cell. You don't have to work a gruelling eighteen hour days to make designer jeans. You wear the designer jeans. You are protected from everything that could hurt you. You have the ability to take part in how the world around is run. You have the ability to change yourself, and yet you have no need to change yourself. You have flaws that make you human and keep you humble. You have your body intact and healthy. You are at the beginning of your life. You don't worry about whether you will be able to have the energy to get out of bed tomorrow. You don't worry if you arteries will finally plaque over and give you a heart attack. You don't have any fatal diseases. You can truthfully expect to live longer than the vast majority of the people of the world. You are healthy. You do not spend every waking hour wondering whether it will be your last. You have the potential to be what ever you want to be.
You have no right to complain.

The next time I inject myself with a shot of pessimism, I shall read this. More good things I found from my search of the 'Perfectly Flawed'. Hhmm...do great minds think alike then? Or do fools seldom differ?
