Breaking Up and Paying For It

"The body asks the heart, if I am in pain the doctor will cure me, but if you are in pain, who is going to cure you? The heart replies, only I can cure myself. Maybe that is why, each person have their own way of healing the pain in their hearts. Drink, sing, throw a tantrum, cry, laugh, talk to a friend, travel, run a marathon.

Breaking up.

Needless to say, a large majority of us will go through this phase at least once in our lives. Unfortunately, there's no fast forwarding it.

The support of our friends and family cradles us but at the end of the day, it's true, no one else can cure our hearts and heal our pain but us alone.

The heart knows many secrets the head does not know...

There is one thing I have noticed us ladies tend to do when we experience a breakup and it involves our hair.

Yes, our crowning glory. We'll do something to it! Cut it. Dye it. Highlight it. Perm it. Straighten it. And knowing the marketing skills of salons nowadays, coupled with our vulnerable emotional state, we'll do a combo and pay for it, indeed.

Guess it's a more subtle approach to consoling ourselves or it could be an indication that we're moving on or at least trying to. After all, girls will be girls and we will stand guilty of self vanity one way or another. And if giving ourselves a new look make us feel just that little bit sane again, then I say go for it.

I reckon it's a better alternative than getting pissed drunk, waking up the next morning to a complete stranger and regretting eons after.

What's more, the look on your ex when he sees a revamped you? It could be priceless.

P/S If the word 'SPAM' appears in the title, it is thanks to the screwed up blogger beta again.

Coz one thing we lose when we breakup, confidence. Dressing up ourselves can build up our confident level.
