Must have bags

... in no particular order.

1. Chanel 2.55
2. Miu Miu Coffer
3. Hermes Birkin
4. Balenciaga City

Boss did a rough calculation of how much I have invested in my current bags and shoes collection during lunch and eyes gawked. Let's just say it reached the 5 digits mark.

She's guilty as charged as well, with her inkling towards Aldo shoes but of course I don't earn as much moolah as her so that justifies her addiction. Added on that I'm one person who will go broke for bags and shoes - think Sophie Kinsella's protagonist in the Shopaholic series. Hhmm, quite true and I won't defend myself on that but... but... there are others who spend more, far more than I do and I know no one can deny this. Colleague said if I had invested the amount in shares, unit trusts etc, I would have a comfortable nest egg of RMs already.

Oh well, if I do end up alone in this world, I'll still have my bags and shoes to accompany me during my golden years (if I live long enough)and maybe to my grave (if no one wants to take ownership of my retail investments). And similarly to my rationale on a 1k diamond engagement ring (How do you like your eggs? post), if you pro-rate the price of a bag with its years of probable usage? It is certainly worth the amount spent. Plus, if you get one that belongs to the league of the classics, it'll never go out of style.
