Perils of Packing...
Among the few things that I will procrastinate in is packing. I hate packing for a trip and unpacking after. However if I were asked to choose I dread the latter more as unpacking might involve welcoming new clothes to their new home! *chuckles*.
Most of the time I end up packing too much or forgetting something that I will only realize I need when I’ve arrived. Arrggh! Packing for an upcoming holiday has been drifting on my mind since the beginning of this week and everytime I look at my two empty suitcases (yes, two), I am reminded of my undone task which I will probably end up starting at the very last minute and be rushing my life away doing. All I’ve figured out is that I need two suitcases when I was trying to pack a few days ago.
Me: Dad, do we have anymore suitcase?
Dad: Think we do. Why do you need another one? Isn’t one enough?
Me: Mine is not big enough. Wanna bring my hairdryer.
Dad: I’m sure there is a hairdryer where we’ll be staying.
Me: Yeah and it’ll be a small one. My hair will take forever to dry. Nah ah, only mine will do.
Dad: *shakes his head* Told you to go bald. Don’t bring so many things. Leave some space for your shopping.
Me: Yeeee-ees, daaaadd-ddyyy.
Sigh, which father will ask his daughter to go bald? *eyes rolling*
Anyway, does anyone have a guideline or checklist for hassle free and effective packing? As always, sharing is caring :) If there was 'An Idiot's Guide to Packing', I reckon I will read it as I’m just clueless on the mechanics of packing. Short trips I can manage but I'll be gone for a week! *headache* If only we could pack our entire wardrobe with just one touch of a button where everything will automatically fold and fit into a micro mini suitcase the size of a compact mirror. I tell you, packing will be a breeze, a walk in the park. Life would be easier and less the aggro.
Now, this is exactly the kind of technology that should be funded and developed, instead of ridiculous not useless (because each of these inventions have a function, a type of usage) but nevertheless lame and goofy inventions like the Marilyn Manson exercise suit, the travel washing machine, the thumb sucking inhibitor, the flying saucer submarine etc (www.totallyabsurd.com).
My micro-mini all-in-one travel wardrobe would be the breakthrough of all inventions. I so know this, and like hot cakes it will sell.

It's summer there!
Travel light woman ... pack only the ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY:
- you don't need a hairdryer
- one pair of comfy walking shoes and a pair of heels
- max 3 pairs of jeans/pants (you need room for enough tops to camouflage the fact you are rotating the pants)
- forget about the toiletries, your bro can help with this
Hope those help.

I need a hairdryer! It is neccesary for my hair :(
My bro's toiletries no can do. Can't live without my Crabtree & Evelyn lavender bodywash and his facewash is for oily skin! Not suitable.
I was thinking of one sport shoe which I'll wear on the plane, a pair of heels, one comfy shoe and sandals, two pairs of jeans (slim & boot), one black pants, one lazy pants, one skirt, one dress...and the list goes on...aarrgghh!
